Early Immigration Initiatives of the Biden/Harris Administration

This session will provide an overview and analysis of the immigration initiatives coming out of the first 2 weeks of the Biden/Harris administration, including the moratorium on deportations and new immigration enforcement priorities, the rescission of the Muslim travel ban, the end of the Remain in Mexico policy, the redesignation of protections for Liberians, and proposed legislation creating a path to citizenship for many. Further announcements on public charge, naturalization, and asylum processing are expected on January 29 and will also be discussed. 

The training will be led by Camille Mackler, Director, Immigrant ARC and Michelle Born, Senior Manager of Training, Immigrant Services Support, New York Immigration Coalition

CLE Credit: Approximately 1.0 NY CLE credits in professional practice. This course provides transitional credit for newly admitted attorneys and non-transitional credit for experienced attorneys.
