MOIA Legal Technical Mentorship Program

I-ARC’s MOIA Legal Technical Mentorship Program seeks to strengthen the ecosystem of free immigration legal services available in New York City. Through this program, I-ARC partners with MOIA Legal Support Centers (LSC), which are community-based organizations across the five boroughs of New York City that provide free immigration legal services.

About the Program

The MOIA Legal Technical Mentorship Program is funded through a grant from the New York City’s Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA). The program is designed to help build the capacity of LSCs so that more New Yorkers can access quality, free immigration legal representation. By partnering directly with these organizations, I-ARC helps ensure that LSC staff have the knowledge, skills, and support to serve their communities effectively.

Why This Work Matter

New York City is home to one of the largest immigrant populations in the United States. Demand for free immigration legal services consistently exceeds available capacity. By investing in the organizations and legal professionals on the front lines of this work, the MOIA Legal Technical Mentorship Program helps extend the reach and quality of free legal services across the city.

I-ARC is proud to support this network and to contribute to a stronger, more coordinated immigration legal services community in New York City
