Lora Adams

Before coming to New York, Lora worked in Washington, DC for six years on a variety of immigration issues, including higher education, DACA, data privacy, climate migration, and detention. She served as the coordinator for the TPS-DED Administrative Advocacy Coalition for several years, with a membership of over 180 organizations. In April 2023, Lora was named one of Washington’s 500 Most Influential People for her administrative advocacy and community coordination around Temporary Protected Status (TPS). 

Lora also teaches a yearly policy analysis and writing course to the fellows at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus through the Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute at the George Washington University. Before coming to DC, Lora worked in program management at UC Berkeley. Lora has a background in immigration policy, advocacy, and nonprofit management with degrees in International Relations from Hendrix College in Arkansas and Public Policy and Administration from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
