I-ARC Needs Your Help to Support Afghanistan

Afghanistan is in crisis. The United States is deploying helicopters and Special Forces troops beyond the airport as the deadline to remove U.S. troops from Afghanistan looms. The Taliban announced today that they will not allow Afghans to go to the Kabul airport anymore. As a result of these events, violence has ensued, and the people of Afghanistan are reeling.

How we're helping

  • We're working with our members to make sure they have the information and resources necessary to try to help as many Afghans as possible file immigration petitions and try to leave the country - today but also in the long run.

  • We're coordinating with national organizations and local refugee groups to ensure access to a continuum of care from Afghanistan all the way to when they arrive in New York

  • We're setting up networks for attorneys to keep each other informed as the situation on the ground is ever changing.

The situation continues to be in flux. We will share more information as it becomes available.
