Priya Gandhi-Abriano

Priya Gandhi-Abriano works in-house at QBE, one of the largest specialty insurance carriers worldwide operating in every key market. There, Ms. Gandhi-Abriano focuses on employment and directors & officers and entity liability work. Prior to joining QBE, Ms. Gandhi-Abriano spent five years as a litigator specializing in aviation and catastrophic injury litigation for a mid-size plaintiffs firm in New York, NY.

In 2017, Ms. Gandhi-Abriano was part of the core group of volunteers who organized a legal office at JFK Airport defending travelers impacted by the Muslim Travel Ban. In 2018, she once again joined legal services organizations and the then new collaborative Immigrant ARC to help run the Albany Detention Outreach Project (DOP). The DOP provided much needed legal services to asylum seekers transferred from the Southern Border to a small county jail in upstate New York, including parents recently separated from their children. .

Ms. Gandhi-Abriano received a J.D. from New York Law School in 2012, and a bachelors in Psychology from Alfred University in 2007. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Immigration Representation and a frequent lecturer on issues related to employment law and risk management.
