Prathiba Desai

Prathiba is a Senior Staff Attorney in the Immigration Practice at Her Justice. She trains and mentors pro bono attorneys and provides legal assistance and representation to the women served by Her Justice in immigration cases, particularly Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and U visa cases.

Prior to joining Her Justice, Prathiba worked as an Immigrant Right’s Staff Attorney for the Empire Justice Center in Westchester, New York and an Immigration Attorney at My Sisters’ Place in Yonkers, New York. She represented clients in the area of immigration law.

Prathiba received her J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law in 2012, her M.A. in Government and Politics from St. John’s University in 2008, and her B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University in 2005. She is admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bar.
