Monique Francis

Monique Francis currently serves as the Deputy Director of CUNY Citizenship Now!, the nation's largest university-based legal assistance program that provides free immigration law services. In this capacity, Monique oversees the day-to-day administrative operations of more than 40 service locations. CUNY Citizenship Now! provides pro se immigration law services to immigrants all on the path to citizenship. CUNY’s mission focuses on educating and empowering immigrants to be active participants in their immigration process.

Under her leadership, Citizenship Now! has grown from a staff of 20 to more than 80 employees, and she manages a budget of more than $6 million per annum. Monique holds a master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College,  and an Advanced Certificate in Immigration Law Studies from the CUNY School of Professional Studies.
