Julissa Saragoza-Arroyo

Julissa Saragoza-Arroyo comes with a distinguished career of over a decade of experience in the pro bono space, currently as a Pro Bono Coordinator at Kirkland and Ellis LLP.

Before joining Kirkland and Ellis LLP, Julissa served as a Pro Bono Specialist/Coordinator at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York City, where she coordinated a globally recognized pro bono program. In this role, Julissa worked with over 900 attorneys to represent clients from diverse backgrounds on various legal matters, including immigration proceedings before the Department of Homeland Security/Department of Justice. Her efforts have been recognized through prestigious awards, including the Pro Bono Publico Team Awards from The Legal Aid Society and the Commitment to Justice Pro Bono Specialist Award from Her Justice.

Julissa's commitment to social justice is evident in her work and her personal involvement in community service, including fundraising for her church, volunteering at the New York Food Bank, and mentoring high school students through a Yale Alumni program. Her fluency in English and Spanish, along with her experience in rural settings, make her a perfect fit for Immigrant ARC's mission to serve diverse communities throughout New York.
